Just outside of the city of Ionia is North LeValley School, a small, welcoming community of learners from kindergarten through fifth grade. Since 1853, this supportive institution has trained young learners for success in a unique educational environment in beautiful Ionia County, Michigan.
Few schools offer a one-classroom setting anymore, but North LeValley enrolls only a small group of students to be instructed by a single teacher and paraprofessional. Students receive individual support and can learn from classmates in other grades for expanded enrichment. North LeValley is committed to an anti-bullying policy, and the small student population helps staff monitor and prevent these behaviors.
North LeValley features an annual open enrollment period and caps each grade at six students. Field trips, gym classes, art instruction and other learning experiences are provided at North LeValley. However, parents must provide their children with lunches and transportation to and from school.
The unique education center is located on North State Road in rural Ionia County. The elementary school provides annual education reports and submits Continuity of Learning Plans for each academic year. Parents love the small class sizes, all-day kindergarten program and individual assistance offered by North LeValley staff.
