I would recommend any parent that lives in the Irving ISD to seek education elsewhere. There is no diversity in the staff which has been proven as a barrier for African-American students. They promote children based on their age not their knowledge. They will promote a 5th grader to middle school with 2nd grade math skills. They don't have a program for special needs children that gets them ready for middle school. They treat them like preschoolers, then ship them off to middle schoo...

Very poor, they really need to up their game. Have students more interactive, use app or websites for learning skills, and send some ripe of home work or activities to keep kids minds active at home and even some in the summer time.
