Bayview Elementary School follows principles and guidelines that encourage students to be bold, responsible, accountable, vocal and empathetic, or BRAVE.
Established in 1988, is part of the Duval County school system. It has more than 320 students in prekindergarten through fifth grade.
Students enjoy many extracurricular activities and clubs, including the Safety Patrol which helps foster responsibility and community service; Girls on the Run that helps girls develop self-confidence and lifelong healthy habits; and the Green Team that fosters community responsibility. Bayview Elementary School offers an extended-day program before and after school and encourages parent involvement through the Full-Service Community Schools program.
The school has a communication and social skills program for students with autism spectrum disorders that includes a wide range of services and educational tools.
Throughout the year, students enjoy giving back to the community with programs such as its holiday Angel Tree and the annual Can-A-Thon.
