Frank H. Peterson Academies of Technology is a college- and career-preparatory public high school in Jacksonville.
The school's long line-up of program options makes it a versatile and appealing school for any student. Here, students leave ready for college or to enter the workforce. Students who wish to obtain a college degree take AP or dual-enrollment classes. Other students choose concentration and can move directly into a career after graduation. The school offers aviation, automotive, cosmetology, agriscience and veterinary assisting, robotics, early childhood education, and culinary programs. In February 2022, two students from the Peterson Culinary Academy won a cooking competition with a grand prize of a scholarship to Florida State College of Jacksonville.

My experience at Frank H. Peterson overall was okay. I was expecting to learn a lot more about the academy I chose. But the problem is not the academy, instead it is the teacher. Not saying who, but she could have done a lot more to help her students gain basic kitchen skills. We have a range of activities and groups at our school. I think we have decent food as well.

I am a freshman at Peterson and I must say I am very impressed. The first quarter is where they weave out the kids who don't needs to be there. I like that the class sizes are small.
