It's a good school to go to, to prepare you for college and also helps you get more credits such as AP or IB classes. Some teachers are good and some are not, but it's nothing to worry about. This school is very big on academics and to help you in the future for when you go to college or the career you want to pursue.

I was proud to get admitted to Paxon School for Advanced Studies as it is well regarded as one of the best high schools in Florida. In my 4 years of experience here I've seen great diversity across all aspects. In terms of the student body, it is very easy to find people that share similar hobbies. In terms of teachers and administration, some are more helpful than others. When it comes to events outside of school hours, Band and Chorus concerts are incredible.

It was an interesting time there. Since it is an academic preparatory school that offers AP and IB courses, the course load is more difficult than your typical high school. Since I personally did IB, the teachers were nice but stern about grading. Overall the staff admin were cooperative with students and the experience was useful for college.

We have had such an amazing experience at Paxon. It truly is a well-rounded education. Not only is my child receiving top notch instruction, but they truly care about the whole child. Paxon works at molding students into good people. My daughter's teachers and counselors have always been so responsi...

Bad. School counselor didn't email my parent back for weeks when told I was having problems and stressed. Then more administration was contacted to no avail other than to accuse my parents of not contacting the right people. And they tried to use excuses saying they didn't get phone messages. Well t...

This school does not live up to the reputation that it has. It is average, at best. The chemistry class my child took didn't perform any labs, how is that even possible!?! Labs are what support the theory being taught. Biology focused more on plants than anything else. That is botany not biology.The...

Paxon's offers great courses, looks great on college applications, and is very diverse. If you or your child want this, definitely go here. But be prepared to have the life sucked out of you. The courses are lovely - APs, IB, decent electives. But you won't learn hardly anything. At Paxon, you cram...
