GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Spruce Mountain is a public school that takes education and extracurricular activities seriously. It is a small school with about 100-150 students per grade level They make sure that your academics come first and then the extracurricular activities. Unlike many other schools, the first PSAT and SATs are free and do not require you to pay the fee to take these tests. On top of that, there are AP classes and AP tests that are also paid for by the school which many schools don't offer.

Spruce Mountain High School is a fair school. It has a good atmosphere where almost all of the teachers are more than willing to help you succeed. There is a large amount of pressure to push you to be your best self and lots of support for those who need it. The staff are sure to hold the rules firmly however they are sure to develop relationships with the individual students and truly care about you as a person. This school is not without its faults. The school does not have a high budget and it can be seen fairly clearly. I would like for there to be more school spirit within the school and more interactions with the community.

If you have a child enrolled at spruce mountain, do them and yourself a favor and take them out, anywhere is better than that school. Some of the teachers are even dumber than the students but some are ok. The school board is terrible and the students are even worse, most of them don't care about their education at all and go to school simply to do drugs in the bathroom. I spent the worst years of my life at Spruce Mountain.

This school has a dedicated team of teachers and administrators that make this a great place for students to learn. A school's greatness cannot be measured by simple metrics. This school is great because it takes kids where they are at academically and socially and transforms them into productive me...
