I have never seen so many fights happen. The faculty was video taped watching the fights without stepping in. The kids weren't even kicked out, which is standard in most large cities and other states. The faculty is extremely incompetent, and the rules are non sensical. Case in point. After 5 absences, even excused. The kid can't park there anymore. WHAT? so, Dr, emergency. doesn't matter. Does that sound normal to you? I used a death every time because it's the only thing they can't fight. I would never have sent my kid here, with what I know right now.

As someone who was not originally part of the school, and only transferred within my freshman year from a home school background, it was difficult for me, personally, to fit in. My peers were fairly tightly knit together, with it being a small town school. I felt most connection with certain open students, and especially certain teachers, my Spanish teacher being most accepting. It's a small town school, that mostly needs updated resources, especially for the science and art departments. As far as I know, however, it's currently undergoing renovations, so I don't know what will change.

The best part about Jesup High School I would say is the size. It's not very big and there are not many students so it creates more opportunities for one-on-one time with teachers for students. Something I wish would change is how handicap-accessible it is. The Middle School and the High School are connected, with 2+ stories, but there is only one elevator and it is in the High School.
