Horizon Elementary School was originally built in 2001 and now offers plenty of amenities to help students in Southwest Johnston learn and grow. Amenities of Horizon Elementary School include computer labs, art studios, music rooms, a large gymnasium and so much more.
Kindergarten through fifth grade is taught standard at Horizon Elementary School. Students also take part in physical education, art, music and library weekly. There are over 600 students enrolled at Horizon Elementary School and over 40 teachers plus other faculty and staff members.
