Kaneland offers a bunch of different resources in case extra help is needed whether that be with problems in school or outside of school. I have been able to talk to my teachers and get some extra help if I need it. The teachers are very easy to approach and ask for help. I have gone to my teachers countless number of times whenever I'm struggling. I will say that Kaneland is a little run down. There are a couple things like could be updated like some of our bathrooms or some of the classrooms in the high school. One of my favorite experiences from Kaneland was being able to be apart of the volleyball team. Kaneland has been known to have a good volleyball team and just being able to experience and play on that team was a win for me and something I will always remember. I love going to all of the sporting events held at kaneland because we're usually strong in that area. That's something I'll always remember Kaneland as.

Kaneland was a fine high school given its location. For a small farm school in the middle of no where it was good. But in comparison to nearby bigger schools like St. Charles, Geneva, Batavia, it was lackluster. I wish Kaneland would update its facilities. I think that would be the biggest improvement to the school. They tried to get a referendum past, but it failed. Improving the bathrooms, classrooms, hvac, gyms, sporting fields/courts, would improve the KHS experience.

At kaneland we have many pros and cons. Over my past 3 years we have had to deal with covid which I thought our school did a good job of dealing with. I feel like our administrators are either very good and care for their students very much or they are just there for the paycheck and do the bare minimum.

While the teachers here are great, it’s so painfully obvious that this school doesn’t care about its students in the SLIGHTEST. They pretend to care but it’s all a facade. Terrible learning environment.

I'm going to start off with the good: there are some amazing teachers whose dreams got crushed because of the kids there. The guys there are *mostly* normal. Now the bad, big drug problem, walking into C-hallway is like entering the fog in silent hill. Usually something insane happens every year (lik...

Most teachers just assume that you know the work and send you on your way to a final exam or a unit test and when you don't do well, they blame you for not studying. There are only a few teachers that are good and they are in easy A classes. And all of this kills your GPA. Plus they don't prepare yo...

There is no accountability in the school system. Homework is not required and late work is graded at full scores. The school does not prepare the students for college or life in general.
