The cafeteria doesn't have ovens or prepare the meals.... They get sent in from the intermediate school down the road. The library is small and shares a space with the computers. The performance space is the cafeteria. It's not horrible, but nothing special either.

The extra curricular programs are unorganized and have no support from the school itself. The a+ program is run by a bunch of angry teens that text and yell. The campus is beautiful. The teachers are forced to focus and strive to meet testing score requirements. With little time to actually practice and work with the children on their problem areas. The school has had a different stand in principal every other year for the past 5 years. Lacks stability that the children need. The mayday program is a waste of time and has nothing to do with mayday or Hawaii.

Ahuimanu was rated well on Zillow 7/10. Two of my kids attended this school (1 in Kinder and the other in the 2nd grade). My 2nd grader had an awful experience and struggled because he could not understand his teacher. (1) His teacher spoke and wrote in "pigeon", a form of broken English spoken on t...

I am and an old student. Grade 11 now and I still love going to see the the staff. The kids still love going there. The staff all try hard to have kids understand and learn best thing their ability no matter what level the kid is at. Over all clean rooms and a good meal at lunch.

After watching the ratings of this elementary school for the past two years, I am amazed where they are today. Couldn't be more pleased with the increased standards that seem to be in place. We can't underestimate the value of good leadership.

This is a wonderful school! My daughter has learned so much and met so many great friends in the past 2 yrs. The campus is open and well kept and the teachers and staff are great.
