Argentine Middle School sits in the northeast portion of Argentine, just east of Silver City Park. While it is one of several middle schools in the Kansas City, Kansas Public School District, it’s the only middle school in the Argentine neighborhood. Argentine Middle School — and the Argentine neighborhood — got its name from the archaic word for silver because the area was once known for silver smelting. The school serves sixth grade through eighth grade students and has been listed as the third-best middle school in the Kansas City, Kansas Public School District by U.S. News and World Report. The school strives to create an environment where everyone feels valued and empowered to achieve their best. Argentine Middle School students have a plethora of extracurricular activities to choose from, such as debate club, yearbook and robotics club. Students can also participate in various sports including volleyball, basketball, football and cross country. Argentine Middle School has a variety of community partnerships that help create an enriching experience for the students. The University of Kansas provides monthly health seminars. Walmart and Sam’s Club offer a mentoring program for eighth graders. And the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce donates items for the school.

We have had some ups and downs with our kids at this age, but feel the school has been supportive and informative through it all.
