On the eastern side of the Argentine neighborhood sits J.C. Harmon High School, named after a former principal that served from 1924 to 1954. The high school is home to just more than 1,400 students and about 90 faculty and staff members.
At J.C. Harmon High School, technology is integrated into the curriculum. Every student receives a laptop to use for assignments and other course requirements. Another feature of the curriculum is the Career Cruising program. This program enables students to evaluate their life and career goals. The school offers multiple extracurricular clubs and activities, including student council, band, choir, ROTC and theater. And any student who enjoys athletics will appreciate the abundance of sports offered at J.C. Harmon. Football, soccer, softball, wrestling and cross country are just a few of the sports teams that students can join.

J.C Harmon is a fantastic high school, teacher are kind and helpful, but if I was to change anything it would have to be our food menu the students should have access to better food.

This school is very helpful, especially with me gaining college experiences and the teachers are lovely. They are encouraging and supportive, I am a mom of a 3 year old and they've been very supportive and helping me find ways to still be the best student. Without their help i wouldn't be this far, They also helped me stay on top of my grades and get extra credits.

People care about one another at Harmon. Teachers are committed to helping and respecting the students. Most of the kids are dedicated learners coming from excellent elementary backgrounds. KCK is a great, hard-working community and Harmon is its heart

Overall J.C. Harmon is a great school! The past has defined the school as one of the worst schools in the area, but with a new principal coming for the 2013-2014 School Year, Harmon will be at the top of its abilities.
