Attending sumner academy was definitely hard but it also prepared me a lot of for college, though not as much as people were saying. I did have some teachers like the professors I have currently, and that has prepared me on how to talk to them and how to go about certain situations.

The overall experience that I had at Sumner Academy isn't too bad. Most of the teachers teach well and are very understanding as well as the administration that keeps our school safe. There are plenty of clubs and activities for the students to do here with our large diverse student body. The food here is not really that good and the vending machines are the only best bet. There has been a decline in the interaction of students and school spirit at Sumner Academy. Students over the years have stopped participating in school events and it's disheartening as someone who works hard to make sure people are enjoying their experience at school and fun events.

My experience with sumner Academy of Arts and Science is challenging. It is a hard school to maintain especially with IB classes. Their are great teachers and admins who want to see you succeed. The culture is very diverse and students get along well and understand each other.

I received a phenomenal education at Sumner Academy. I was far better prepared for college than most people I met in my first year of school. Would send my own children here in a heartbeat. People complaining about the age of the building should find something better to do...your kids are not being...

The academics and the teachers get an A. However, there are so many roaches throughout the entire building that the students began referring to them as pets. There is an awful sewage smell on the third floor and the ladies rooms are filthy. My student has to refrain from using their bathrooms until...

It is definitely harder than other schools. But something that you need to keep in mind is it is a college PREPARATORY school. If you can't make it here how do you expect to make it in college??? The work load is a little bit more demanding but there is a much better environment. There are almost no...
