Horrible start this year. Kids with holes in schedules, some with no schedules. Abusive language and militant security in a school taking in more tax money from an overpriced real estate market and ridiculous bond package that passed last year. No care or regard for student performance outside of tests.

As a current student at Tompkins High school, I enjoy learning here. Our teachers encourage us to do our best and help us learn wonderful topics. Although the school work can be tough, it pushes us to become the best versions of ourselves. They have many class options to explore to prepare for future careers.

This school sucks. It feels like a prison with military-level security; you can't even go to the bathroom during lunch in peace. Hell, you cannot do anything in peace without having some officer or some lady in the hallway yell at you. If you forget your id ONE DAY, there is a detention. Apparently...
