GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Kearney High School has a lot to be improved. The admin is so bad they are all on a power trip. the school is not safe if you are LGBTQ+, especially if you are trans. The athletic department gets so much funding and they are average at best. The athletes think they are better than everyone. The Fine Arts department is Amazing but they receive no funding. Speech and One-Act constantly go to state and have some of the best performers in the state but they get no recognition from the school because they don´t do sports. The level of talent at this school is crazy but the school won´t give them their 2 cents. Kearney High School should be turned into a performing arts school if we did it would be one of the best schools in the state.

Kearney High has a good school culture, teachers here care and prepare the students and are involved in the students education and take full responsibility to make sure we are doing our best.

This is a good school to go to especially for a High School. From what I know there's no negatives to this school at all everyone and everything is positive. There's more than average opportunities for students to get involved in activities if interested as well.
