There needs to be more access to counselors, so students can actually resolve issues instead of violence.

Kelso High School has shaped me into who I am today. Despite, COVID and other factors, I look back on my time fondly. I made lifelong friends through being a State Officer for Washington DECA. I enjoyed my math and science classes, and the teacher who taught me.

One thing is our school doesn't fund our art departments, example, band and theatre having to fund everything our of their own student pockets, new set pieces, new instruments, buses for trips, theatre just alone this year was just now able to afford to go to state after 5 years. Another thing is their diversity, it is strong in the latnito section, but even then, they dont take the time out of their day to work with the students on work, many teachers there dont like teaching. i've met about 3-6 teachers throughout my 4 years there who actually enjoy teaching, who go above and beyond for their students; which isn't what you want to hear from a student. But along with that, we do have very good choices for sports at the school; which that is what we are, a spots school, and have a great selection of electives, but as said before, the art departments barely get any funding.

My child has been pushed academically to excel in college level courses as well as stretch courses in welding and art. Kelso High School has also allowed him to grow socially and athletically through clubs and sports. They have pushed him to be a better person, athlete, and team member.

No matter what you call for you are transfered to a voicemail. The counseling center fails to fulfill their responsibilities. My student doesn't even know what the career center is and this is my second child who is graduating HS and didn't know about the career center. I'm pretty they have full tim...

This school is littered with Nazi graffiti, and a staff that will absolutely put in writing that their hands are tied when it comes to bullying, threats of sexual assault, and actual physical assault.
