GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

My son is a senior at Hollins class of 2025. He has had a great experience. The AEA department is wonderful and it's amazing to find a school with a real balance between arts and academics. The theatre department is fantastic as well. Most importantly the students are well rounded and overall nice kids. My son has made friends that he'll keep for life. My only wish is that Florida valued teachers enough to pay them well so that turnover were lower.

The worst part are the teachers and students together. Everyone seems to be on edge in that school, I don't blame them, but it doesn't make it enjoyable at all. The best part is that I can get my education, honestly.

The AICE program offers a good alternative way of earning college credit to AP, and the AICE diploma waives Bright Future's test scores requirement which makes the school a good choice for college bound students. The culture is generally welcoming, with no serious issues.

This school has a Cambridge program and the AICE classes offered (just as difficult as AP) aren’t even mentioned on this website. My son has received a great education and made amazing friends. Wonderful theater program, excellent robotics team. We have no complaints.

We were so pleased with our child's experience as a freshman at Dixie Hollins this past year. He was part of the Cambridge program, which offered him great, stimulating classes that are as good as any IB or AP classes, and perhaps better. His class in the Graphic Arts magnet program was amazing. He...
