GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Kamiakin has an amazing school spirit and competitiveness. The widespread participation people have in this school makes it a wonderful place to attend. The rough neighborhood and outdated facilities are really what hold Kamiakin back from being a perfect high school. Despite this, we don't let our environment define us.

Well, I graduated in June, but my overall time at Kamiakin was great. The best experiences I had were with friends. Plus, quite frankly, I don't think I had a worst part of high school. I met some amazing people, both peers and teachers. I never witnessed nor experienced bullying. (Plus I could use a laptop for college) And I think a revision to the dress code that's more accurate to current students would be great. (It's 2023, not 2003)

I liked the teachers and coaches at Kamiakin. However, there weren't a whole lot if programs and classes and the campus isn't super safe/secure.

My daughter and son-in-law both graduated from kamiakin HS. Two of my grandchildren recently graduated from KHS. We were originally from Richland so I had my doubts. 27 yrs later I am impressed with this school. Academics is their first priority, though they have excellent sports program, it is a mu...

You are going to find good and bad in every school. Kamaikin is no different. On the positive side there are some very good and caring teachers, academics - pretty strong. Negative side, possibly because of the schools location there are some dangerous elements and temptations present. I feel that t...
