Overall a well rounded school. One of the best on the Eastern Shore, and it is rather small being a 2A. Sports are great, lots of opportunities for students to feel welcomed.

I generally really like this high school. I like how easy it is to join and be part of clubs, and all of the teachers are amazing, they are really dedicated to their students' success. I am also enjoying the new period during the school day that students can use to do the things that they need to do. For example, we can meet with teachers to get help with classwork, go to club meetings, get homework done, or do some other fun activity. The parts that I don't like so much are that we have to be at school by 7:45, and it is sometimes difficult to get something approved through administration, such as a club event. The time that school starts is standard across many high schools, so I don't think that that could be changed, but it would be more helpful if some of our administration members checked their emails more frequently and got back to emails more frequently, so that it could be easier to organize events. However, overall, I have enjoyed the time that I have spent here.

Overall the school isn't the worst within the county. There isn't a whole lot of diversity and the school does not fully prepare you for college.

They can't keep students safe from assaults within their classroom during class. Would not recommend.

Kent Island High School is an extraordinary school. With their great academic achievements and outstanding sports department, KIHS would be a great candidate for this opportunity. Although due to cut back, some classes, that could benefit many students, have been canceled because of budget complicat...
