Sullivan North High School is a wonderful school! Before I attended, I was homeschooled. The staff were so helpful and encouraging when I needed to take a placement exam I passed! . I'm still friends with many of the teachers and faculty!

I've had an amazing three years at Sullivan North. I feel that the school could have thrived if it had had better funding for its academic and fine arts departments. My academic experianse at Sullivan North could have been better if the school had been able to buy text books but the teachers and administration worked with what they were given and made the most of our situation. The lack of funding in the art departments was a large setback for the students and teachers but with generous donations from students, parents, and the teachers we were able to create a multiple award wining music and art department.

When I first step foot into the high school I was beaten up for spitting in a trash can, by a junior who was big enough to be on the football team yet to add insult to injury both the guidance counselor and the assistant principal put the blame on me.

My daughter graduated from Sullivan North in 1995 receiving a wonderful education and forming friendships from students and teachers that have lasted well into adulthood. Sometimes I felt that kids who didn't try to do their best had more opportunities here than the more advanced students. Remedial type classes went ahead with very few students, but AP classes would be canceled because less than 13 had signed up. There are a few wonderful teachers at North, but the m...
