This school district is poorly mismanaged, especially if you're a student with a 504 or IEP. The district lazily goes through the motions of compliance, but does next to nothing to actually help students or communicate with each other about student needs and progress.

My experience at Silver Lake high school over the past three years has been positive. My favorite part of the school is the range of classes that are offered. There are many AP and honors level classes for students who want more of a challenge as well as many CP1 and CP2 classes for the students who require more support. The schools staff is well selected and there are so many great teachers that work hard to provide the best education possible for their students. the school is nice clean and well kept. the athletes programs are not as good compared to other schools in the area, but every person involved with these teams still puts in 100% effort to improve them. Overall Silver Lake is a great school and I have enjoys my years attending as I know many of my peers have as well.

I moved going into my freshman year. I was very nervous about starting a new school with new people, but i was welcomed by many new people. Silver Lake is a respectable school that will leave you with life long friends and memories. It has its struggles here and there, but overall still a very good and kind environment.

I would give it a 4/5 stars. The pros are the teachers are very good at their jobs and can make you be prepared for College. However, since I was a CP2 student, I have difficulty getting started with College. The other pro is the events Silver lake has. They have rallys and many other cool events. T...

The teachers in the school are excellent and there are many extracurriculars students can be involved in. The honors program especially is excellent and the school is new and in top condition. It has a great learning atmosphere and in all, is a great place.

My son is a junior this year and taking great electives. He has some very enthusiastic teachers there as well as ones that just make him take notes. Obviously if you're going to get through to kids, you have to make it interesting for them people! The amenities that the school itself has though are...
