Bearden Elementary School is a prekindergarten through fifth-grade school serving approximately 300 students near the Marble City neighborhood in Knoxville, Tennessee. Bearden Elementary was named for Marcus De Lafayette Bearden, a former mayor of Knoxville and state representative, and is one of 50 elementary schools operated by Knox County Schools. The school has been at its current site at 5717 Kingston Pike since its completion in 1938. The school’s student body represents more than 20 countries and a variety of languages. Knox County Schools offers specialized instruction for students who are learning English to help them become proficient and thrive in the classroom. Starting in third grade, students at Bearden can participate in various extracurricular activities, including student council, robotics club, 4-H, Girls on the Run, and chorus. After fifth grade at Bearden, most students attend Bearden Middle School from sixth through eighth grades. Knox County Schools offers free transportation to and from school for elementary students who live more than one mile from their zoned school. At Bearden, students will experience a variety of opportunities that enhance their educational journey.

Loved teachers and the special needs teachers are great. The TAs are the best. Serve great lunches. Just dont like how the small class size is in 5th. You get a shock when go from 5th to 6th. Go from about 400 total in school to about 1300 at a school. Over all is a good.
