Farragut Middle School educates more than 1,400 students in grades sixth through eighth. A rigorous academic curriculum is the backbone of education at Farragut Middle, with honors classes, STEM programming, and a comprehensive visual and performing arts program. Students at Farragut Middle are challenged to become exceptional thinkers and active members of their community. They consistently score well above the state average on standardized tests and perform at or above grade level in math and English. Of the students who participate in the Algebra program, nearly 100% pass the class ready for more advanced math in high school, allowing them to complete upper-level math classes before college. Extracurricular activities at Farragut Middle offer something for everyone. Athletes can choose from a variety of sports, including basketball, volleyball, baseball and football. Students who achieve academically are invited to participate in the Farragut Middle Honor Society. And those wanting to stop bullying and spread kindness can join Project U, a student-led group that unites students with the goal of promoting school-wide unity. Students at Farragut Middle School are well prepared for the challenges of high school and are supported with the resources to succeed.

Since it's in the south, it is a bit lacking. However, there are some fantastic teachers who provide knowledge and there are some teachers who blatantly tell students they hate their jobs.

My kids have been at FMS from 2018-2023. By Knox County Schools standards, it's fine. But it isn't great, especially compared to the other Farragut schools, and has gotten worse since the pandemic. Some of that is due to a shortage of quality teachers. But I think there is also a leadership problem....

Education wise, great school! I learn a lot and am excelling in their honors program, however, how they deal with bullying and other issues is, to be frank, quite awful. The school has many issues with vaping and physical fighting in the restrooms, in which they do little to nothing about, except fo...

I am a current student in this middle school, and wow, what an experience! The teachers in this school are clearly trying their best to educate the students here. However, the restrooms are completely defaced, with graffiti in almost every stall. I feel bad for the janitors, so I help them out a lit...
