Located in the heart of Knoxville, Tennessee, Inskip Elementary is a pre-K through fifth-grade school serving a little over 500 students. Inskip Elementary partners with nearby Central High School to allow fifth-grade students to interact with high-school-aged peer mentors. Teachers describe the school as a diverse environment where there are innovative learning opportunities during the school day as well as after school. The student body is organized into five houses. The houses have Latin names representing traits of lions called strength, bravery, loyalty, pride and patience. The house structure gives students a sense of belonging and shared responsibility as they can earn points and rewards for their houses. Inskip Elementary offers STEM resources, education in the arts and several clubs for second through fifth graders that meet on Thursday morning. Clubs cover interests like basketball, board games, robots, coloring, puzzles, books and crafts. Teachers at Inskip work hard to provide hands-on learning opportunities. Students participate in farm day, a tournament of books, gardening, a carnival, field day, STEM night and a science fair. After completing elementary school at Inskip, most students go on to attend Gresham Middle School.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I followed allnproper routes and nothing was done. The teachers claimed it's not bullying because it...

I was still frustrated at the schools lack of safety measures that were in play. This year they have moved to a new l...
