At Walker Junior High, you see a lot of diversity. Yes, the majority is white, but there are a lot of Asians, Hispanics, African Americans, etc. So you don't necessarily feel like you are a minority. There aren't many clubs, which isn't great. Some teachers are very discretely racist too, but sometimes it's just the subs. To find this as a good school, I recommend you looking at the memories and experiences made and learned, more than the actual academics and teachers.

personally, this is a fairly not great school with some teachers being extremely bad at their job quite frankly with some not grading work until the very end... also there are lots of fights happening between gangs in the school too... be careful when being at this school..

lots of bullying and discrimination between students in this school, the staff "raises awareness", but it is not effective because they do not know how to handle actual bullying. the teachers are kind, but most of them do not know how to handle a chaotic classroom nor do they know how to show author...

I brought my son here on an interdistrict transfer after hearing about their great STEAM program. So glad I did. The program is amazing and continues on into high school.
