Northside is like a big toxic family . I've been to 3 high schools and none of them has been like northside . With the school being in the north side of town (the rougher) side it often disproves it stereotypes. It has been labeled as the "ghetto school" but we are much more than that, even though we have our moments. From my experience if you get more involved in the school actives you will succeed more . There are plenty of opportunities offered at northside and they always make the best out of it . We may be short staffed and out of room but all our teachers make sure that everyone gets the chance to a fair education. They have a good understanding about where all the kids come from and how they were being raised and they do their best to steer kids away from that street life . Now we might fuss and fight and argue , but in reality we all want the best for each other as a school .

This school is entirely to big. Why does it have so many buildings? Why can't the school be small like others? If my child had to go to this school, then I would just move out of Lafayette.

I felt like this school wasn’t supportive of all their students, they were pretty unfair with certain clubs, athletic departments and were overall obviously catering to one group
