Overall a fun school to make friends but definitely not academically challenging or rigorous. I performed well there and managed to get accepted into a top university but it is rare for the students there to get into high level colleges.

This schools diversity allowed me to be comfortable and seen as a woman of color coming from Tonga. I was able to adapt well to the environment due to the help of the students who gladly welcomed me and the teachers for their understanding. The only problem I have was the facilities because their restrooms always be having problems and get broken easily.

I graduated Lahainaluna in May of 2023. I had a lot of good experiences in extracurricular activities such as HOSA and NHS. As well as planned school activities. Although, the academics of Lahainaluna was not the greatest. Teachers were not participating in active learning, but rather presenting us the work or videos to help us finish our work. To add on, most of our work was graded on completion rather than the quality. For college preparation, Lahainaluna did not do the best to prepare us for college.

I was a Four Year Boarder at Lahainaluna. I graduated in 2009 with academic honors. I am now attending the University of Montana with academic scholarships. No other school can even come close to Lahainaluna and the tradition that we hold. I came to Lahainaluna at the age of 13 from the Big Island,...
