Welcome to Lake Pointe Elementary School. This public educational facility serves more than 700 students from prekindergarten through fifth grade and is part of the Lake Travis Independent School District. The district covers nearly 120 square miles and has been designated 6A. It provides transportation to and from campus each day for qualifying students, and no uniforms are required.
Lake Pointe Elementary earned an “A” grade -or 96 out of 100- from the state of Texas for overall school performance in 2020-21. Standardized test scores also show the school is doing well with 82% of students proficient or better at math and 75% proficient or better at reading. It’s among the top 200 best public elementary schools out of over 4,600 in the state.
In addition to challenging academics, the school offers a student council for older children as well as music and fine arts courses. It also features a full-service library which encourages children to become lifelong readers. The school conducts morning meetings every day to instill life skills like grit, determination, persistence, a sense of humor, and more into students. Those demonstrating these life skills are rewarded with the Eagle Award which is given every two weeks. The school even gives each student a free treat in the cafeteria on their birthday.
