The school’s beautiful brick building at 4015 North Ashland Ave. was first built in 1886, although the school itself is one of Lakeview's oldest as it was first established in 1874. Receiving over $9 million in college scholarships, Lakeview High School has also been recognized for making exemplary scholastic gains among its students. Lakeview High is part of the City of Chicago School District 299, and its students enthusiastically wear red and white to spotlight their school pride at every game or match. The school boasts a wide variety of sports including water polo, volleyball, football and many more. There are several extracurricular activities available which include chess club, journalism club, poetry workshops, the science club and technology club. With its variety of academic, athletic and extracurricular offerings, Lakeview High School truly provides something for everyone.

My experience at Lake View has been ok it's not the best school compared to others but it's still good some good things about Lake View are our sports out basketball, volleyball and soccer teams are pretty good and are in the top conference but some bad parts about Lake View is that theirs been a lot of fights recently and the overall teaching isn't the best but there are some really good teachers that make learning fun and really help students.

It has been hit or miss with this school. It all depends on who you are around, some people have changed my life for the better and some just want to make life suck.

My experience at lake view high school was great the memory's I made we great and meet new people that I made connections with and some I won't forget.
