GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

This instituation has changed my life in a variety of ways, especially in helping facilitate my development. There are so many opportunities to better yourself as a musician, athlete, and student that I have changed my life for the better.

I love the performance arts programs at South, especially band, however they are severely underfunded. Most clubs, sports, and extracurriculars are really hard to start if you didn't start them in your freshman year. I think our curriculums are really good for school, and the majority of teachers are great, but some are just not good at teaching.

This school does everything to provide a full community, but in all honesty it is more biased towards people who are involved in clubs and sports. Those who did not do either didn't get such an amazing high school experience. Some teachers definitely had favorite kids and those would always be the athletes who "peak" in high school. Not to say that there wasn't any great teachers though.

Both of my kids graduated from Lakeville South. It is a fantastic school, as my children were both ready for college!

This school is a terrible school for minority students. They are racially discriminated against by both students and staff. They are punished more than white students. The staff is intentionally trying to put minority students in the system by involving the police on every minor thing that happens....

I think that my school is underestimated. Most graduate with a sense of accomplishment. I appreciate the school and the teachers. It is more than amazing in the sense that the school makes you feel at home, the staff treats you very well no matter who you are. From the people in the front office to...
