Lincoln Elementary School sits along Clifton Boulevard in north-central Lakewood and is where students find a love for learning. Teachers at all levels work diligently to create hands-on activities that allow students to visualize and experiment as they learn. For instance, when 5th graders use paper towel tubes, cups and tape to create amplifiers for their smartphone speakers, they also know about sound’s physical properties.
Lincoln is proud to be home to a unique new book vending machine. Students earn gold tokens through everyday activities and can use them to build a collection of books. Lincoln Elementary’s administrators, teachers and staff work to infuse enthusiasm throughout the school year. Special events like the district-wide Battle of the Books illustrate how individuals can increase their impact by working together toward a shared goal, like reading 1,700 pages and winning a city-wide competition. Field trips to destinations like the Great Lakes Science Center and University Circle are opportunities for students to explore new settings in structured ways.

This school is amazing and every child I have met is so excited to come here. It has nice teachers, amazing learning opportunities, and a safe environment for all. There are also so much amazing older students who help out the younger ones, such as Meara Crowe. Amazing school.
