As a student at Lamar High school, I think it is really great. This school does good at awarding students for their accomplishments and there are many things to be involved in. Though, I would like to see the focus to be shifted from being heavily on sports to give some more attention and appreciation for other groups or clubs throughout the school.

I loved the small town closeness of Lamar High School and the bonds that were created with my classmates and teachers. The classes offered were a wide range, and there were a lot of dual credit options that got me super ahead for college. The teachers I had were super helpful and it was clear that they lined what they were doing. There were a lot of extracurricular activities to participate in, from sports to FFA to DECA. The campus of Lamar High School was updated and always kept clean.

Really good school. Ton of school and mascot spirit. A few out there teachers but good administration. A few facilities in the district could be updated and there's a little funny business here and there, but overall pretty good.

Some of the staff in this school are hard to work with. Our child has an IEP and one of his teachers argued with him about what he was allowed. I told him to go back and tell her it’s in his IEP. She apologized a day later and gave what he needed. This wasn’t the only incident. Other teachers go abo...
