GreatSchools Rating

GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Some of the teachers are nice but some of them are not. You can tell which teachers really want you to succeed and which ones don't care. The teachers don't get paid enough to care. We are the lowest paying district around. The administration isn't very good either. When I got to college, I felt really unprepared especially in the science department.

in le sueur students aren't allowed to express their ideas or opinions, it has a good system for teaching and the education is good. But the cons outweigh the goods

I have been going to the Le Sueur school district my whole life. It has shaped me into the person I am today. The teachers are not only here to teach me about education, they teach me how to be a better person.

If you want your child to be respected do not send them to this school. If they are an athlete or the child of a teacher or school official they can do anything. Other kids are Mis-lead and told not to do college courses. Bullying is fully acceptable. They will expect the students to learn about sch...

Test scores and previous articles in the Local paper tell the story of this district. They have poor preforming teachers and administration that pass the buck. There is always a finger pointed outside the school placing blame for the failing scores. Our children learn from what they see and the stud...

I also wanted to note that LSH provides a great program/class called AVID. The class teaches you great techniques, study skills, and gets students prepared for college. Students also get to go on college trips and get a feel of the college life, what it will be like, etc. From personal experience, i...

No summer programs offered, other than summer school. This is lost likely due to the scope of the administration, with a sports oriented ideal and less emphasis on academics. Though it should be mentioned that some faculty and outside sources have arranged for "summer camps" for various sports, usua...
