The best part about Fergus High School is the size, all of your students know you by name and personal things about you, like what your interests are. I think that the worst part is that some teachers try to teach their beliefs instead of teach you the subject and let you form your own opinion. I would definitely like to see more elective classes offered.

The school environment has been very supportive of my children and their goals. The science department has been a godsend by giving them opportunities to excel in other clubs other than athletics.

Overall I really enjoyed growing up in Lewistown and attending Fergus. I got accepted into the engineering program at Montana State and have been working as an engineer for years. Fergus High School does a super job of preparing their students to be career and college ready, inspite of its size and the lack of local and state funding, . The teachers are (with a few exceptions) apathetic. Many of then spend more time on the sport they coach than the class they teach.
