My overall experience with Henry clay is pretty good I enjoyed doing track here and feel like he advanced in a lot of levels academically it is really good school for academics but not athletics and the school building it's self is really bad but the school is being rebuilt and I believe once the school is rebuilt it will be the best high school in Lexington once again.

It was an average school, a few safety scares, and the new programs of metal detectors do little to alleviate problems. Bathrooms are gross, the AC and other facilities hardly work.

This school didn't help me at all to learn what I needed. They only taught me how to suppress ideas and to keep quiet. Most of the administrative staff abuse their power to go after lower income kids and teachers encourage fights. Do not let your child go here.

My children excelled at this school, and it was hard work at times, which helped prepare them for what came next.

Wonderful teachers who actually teach. My daughter was in a different Lexington High School last year and was body slammed and the principal never did anything. Absolutely love Henry Clay. HC IS A MUCH BETTER SCHOOL!!
