Overall my experience at Lafayette High School had been positive in that through my first three years of high school I have been able to take a variety of challenging and engaging courses. The school also offers various opportunities for career or program specialization. However, the school building is overcrowded due to the large student body and is in need of drastic repairs and remodeling.

In this school you don't see much bullying going around or much violence that goes on during each school year. Groups of people are always accepted with almost no problems with anyone. The administration and most teachers take their job serious and there has never been a safety issue in the 4 years that I've been here. Some changes I'd like to see if more guidance for the students in help to choose their courses and search for resources. I came into the school with little knowledge of the programs it offered and different high end courses I wish I would've known about to take during that time.

Schools send out fees through their bookkeeping department which has nothing to do with a student's performance in a classroom. I check my student’s grades about once a week since academic success is a priority in our household. They clearly understand that they are solely responsible for the grades...

I am totally blown away with the priorities of this school. It's extremely important to get those fees but as far as failing stude...

My son hasn't been there to long. This is his first year but so far he loves it and is happy. He hated Jessie Clark Middle School and he is happy to be at Lafayette. Teachers seem caring and willing to work with the kids.

Certainly had a few issues with procuring and keeping teachers at times. For the 2014-15 school year my daughters French teacher changed 3x (main teacher - sub - main teacher back a few months later) and her Chemistry teacher changed 4x...the main teacher leaving early in the school year and the fin...
