GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

My overall experience at Rockbridge County High School is positive. I've made so many long lasting relationships and been a part of a community I love and appreciate.

There's lots of really great classes offered, but in my experience you won't know about them unless you ask about it yourself. If you aren't someone who keeps up with the program of studies and requirements, it's not likely that the counselors will reach out and help you unless you bug them about it.

One of the best parts of my high school experience was the sense of community that I was able to find in certain places throughout the school whether that be through the classes I was taking or through the clubs I joined I was always able to find something that made me feel included and welcomed. One of the worst parts however was that these communities never seemed to be able to get along and there was almost never a time when the entire school could come together and that is something that I would love to see change in the future.

Overall I think RCHS is a good school. We have a solid Honors and AP program, as well as a great CTE program, and a strong student government.
