GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I was a part of the class of 2019 and have a sibling currently enrolled. Honestly, it was bad before but now this district, specifically the high school, is just laughable. They really don't know what kind of students they are dealing with and have designed a system meant for wealthy students and force participation on their kids.

I like that there is plenty of support when needed. Most teachers are willing to go out of their way to help students. We are a small town and a very tight community that is very supportive of our athletics. I would really like to see a better sports program.

Some things I enjoyed and liked about Liberal High school is there scheduling system. Instead of the usaul 8 classes with a Bell schedule they have a flex mod system. This system helps teaches students time management because of how it is designed

Horrible! The administrators, principle, teachers and staff, and school board don't seem to care about the students at all. They think they know what's good for us, the students, but they truly don't. Kids hate going here, because the people here; other students, teachers, etc. do not make it fun, o...

USD 480 deals from a lack of effective leadership from the district level to the building level. Many long time residents and family members seek to protect their jobs, all while many students are achieving well below other state schools.

I taught in this school. It had some decent teachers, but wasn't doing a very good job of preparing students for college. The students and teachers were not treated with respect by the principal. It you are a parent thinking of relocating, I would not recommend this school.
