GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I really enjoyed being a part of the sports at Libertyville and participated in cheerleading for all four years that I was there. The staff does a really good job being inclusive to every student.

My overall experience at LHS has been great. For the building I think some of the classrooms need to updated as well as the bathrooms. I would like to see the some of the safety components changed at LHS.

Complaints I have with this school. 1. Teachers constantly complain about having to come to work to their students. 2. The administration made it so that only Christian holidays get school days off. 3. Needs more focus on choir and band istead of only putting the focus on sports. 4. The cafeteria's food is EXTREMELY overpriced and tastes like crap. And most other schools lunches are free for everyone. 5. The school pretends that they care about mental health but do nothing to support mental health. 6. Students get away with saying slurs all the time and don't get in trouble, while if you say the word "hell" you get threatened to a detention.

Before Covid, I would give 5 starts to LHS. Now, 3 is generous. Since Covid, there is way too much coddling. There are usually no deadlines for homework ("get it in before the end of the semester") and tests can be retaken. My son's counselor pushed nothing but the easiest possible schedule: told hi...

My oldest graduated from this school last year, and now I have my 2nd in senior and the youngest in sophomore. None of my children had good experiences with LST. They reach out to the family or students only when they think the students caused some trouble instead of investing their time in learning...

LHS has provided what I believe to be an average education for my child, but not nearly close to what I expected given the school’s previous reputation. LHS is steadily going downhill and has already lost pace with VHHS in academics, diversity and other initiatives. The school is outdated on so many...

This school is such a disappointment. We moved here for this school as everyone we spoke with highly recommended it. Our kids attended Oak Grove and always felt like the kids regardless of race were valid and important as their focus was on academics. Although OGS has taken a negative turn as well w...
