There are a few very good teachers, but many of the teachers don't teach. They just assign work. The English department is lacking. I think the weak administration is the reason we have some very poor teachers and many that get away with such inappropriate things.

Great school. The students don't seem to think so but that's only because they have all lived in somers their entire lives and don't know what other schools are like lol. It really is a fantastic school the staff really does care overall. The food isn't bad most school food is really gross ours isn't tho. Teachers push you to do your best but also leave it up to you and guide you when you ask so don't be afraid to ask.

I have had an overall amazing experience at Somers High School. From the amazing school spirit to the endless opportunities the school provides. The teachers and staff truly care about each student and helping them with anything they may need.

Somers has been a great school district for my kids. The high school has many wonderful teachers who truly care about their students. The administration is terrible, from the superintendent down. The ratings are plummeting. Bullying and drug use are at an all time high and no one is paying attention. Parents are pulling their students and paying for private school. Enrollment is dropping in record numbers.

Very little academic support given in later years. Teachers can be rude. Over-rated district. Also, very limited options when it comes to clubs. The only thing they are known for is their football team.
