Teachers do an excellent job of working together at the grade level to ensure a consistent approach to curriculum across the grade. From K through 4th grade we have had many teachers with many different teach styles but one thing has been constant - each one has genuinely cared about their students.

I think there is a lot of PRIDE at this school. Our kids are reading in grade K and we are just amazed at all they are able to accomplish. I do feel the kids coming in from out of district are at a disadvantage and struggle though and they need tutoring to catch up. I'm amazed that the school has a tutoring program to help the stragglers keep up though. This is a huge benefit to the kids. We choice into this school because of the ratings it's received in the past but we are glad that we did. The school size in general is much smaller which I think makes a difference. It is challenging for my smart boy who gets bored with review or repeated lessons. He gets it and moves on. The PTA is just committed and never ceases to amaze me with all they are able to accomplish on a small budget - keeping parents and students motivated year round while monthly having lunches/events to say thank you to the school staff.

After reading the negative reviews, I feel they are left by people more upset about the structure of learning because of state requirements versus what Bevis has to offer while maintaining state expectations and requirements.
