GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

My school experience is much different than the average student , I have 504 in part sometimes it can get a tad interesting for Higher level teachers to see me ask about how things will go with the 504 , Sometimes there is a bit of push back , asking that I really don't needed it yet , that reamained untrue . While on the other hand , There are some really good teachers such as the science teachers and some social studies teacher , as my previous chemistry teacher was really hated , but that was in take due to he pushed us to try , so we would actually learn what he tought , then there's my previous Ap world history teacher , He was a great teacher but his class was increases by me and a friend by us asking questions that lead to a whole unit being added to the subject . The staff will help you here , but they are behind with info outside of state and the SAT .

I had a great time at South Laurel High School. My friends were absolutely amazing and I still talk to many of them today even as an out of state alumni. I loved playing soccer, basketball, and tennis at South Laurel and all my coaches were great people and really cared about the students and our success. My academics were good as well, although so be successful as an out of state applicant to schools you did have to take on the burden of challenging yourself and making the most out of the experience.

I would like to see more college readiness available to students, not just for those wanting to attend a 4 year institution but trade schools as well. Most of the focus is placed on 4 year degrees while great pay with less time and debt invested can be achieved at a trade/community college.

Oh what an awesome school! My favorite part was when I went to the principals because I was being bullied and they kept telling me if I acted more "normal" it wouldn't have happened! Mhm! What a fun school for everyone to attend! Definitely doesn't have an issue with enabling bullies and victim blam...

Honestly, this is one of the worst school to send your children to. The majority of the budgets seems to go to making the place look better, and giving the obese school cop a segway. quality text books, on the other hand, seem to be in short supply. Not only are they obsessed with how the school loo...
