GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I went to Lone Oak High School for all four years of schooling. It is a very small school, but it has been expanding in recent years. I feel like I received a decent education that will get me through four years of college.

Lone Oak has been a decent school since I came here. My parents moved here back in 2011 and Lone Oak was supposedly a "top school". After I graduate I want to see a better athletic program and better teachers.

Lone Oak was pretty good. I'd say it was probably about average in everything. The turnover rate isn't good at all, but there are a few teachers that have been around for years and they are amazing. The school doesn't get a ton of funding, so the facilities could use some work, but it's really not terrible.

Transferring our daughter to Lone Oak from a much bigger district is the best decision we have ever made. At LOHS our child thrived and had opportunities she would have not had in the bigger district we came from. Teachers and administrators are also very supportive!
