Built in 1960, Long Elementary underwent renovations in 2013 when the school's Parent-Teacher Organization transformed Long’s outdoor courtyard into a colorful and inviting learning space. Adjacent to the school playground and blacktop, the improved outdoor space now features a shaded reading area, a chalkboard for classroom lessons, raised planter beds, a composter and a fish pond. The courtyard also functions as a tool to teach students about stewardship and sustainability.

The PTO is amazing. There are so many great parents who are resourceful and ensure the students needs are met. They go above and beyond with providing the teachers grants, handling parties, etc.

Generally a below average school. Not many large problems; but lots of small ones that quickly add up, and not many redeeming qualities.
