GreatSchools Rating

GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

School has a great community and support but is very small which of course has it's pros and cons. Sports are super fun but funding is a huge issue. There are a lot of people that work super hard and care a lot though.

We have an attendance person. He makes sure we are on time and when we are missing classes he wants to know why and tries to help us to make sure we are there. We have a very strict advisor that advises what kids wear and if its not its not appropriate she gives them something else to wear. Also out guidance counselor really try to make our school a bully free school. We do have our issues but she does try hard.

I have to inform future readers of the above posts that are raving about students being accepted in these Ivy League type schools is not merely based on LISD being a decent school. It also has to do with the fact that Lopez Island attracts the monied, affluent, and trust fund type of people with chi...
