I like the aviation program at the school but some changes could be made with the staff and the food.

My time at Shawnee has been very eventful. I've gotten involved in almost everything, the students are easy to talk get along with. And my ACT test scores have increased by a long shot.

Depending on what program you are in there is a lot you can learn. Most of the staff is friendly and problems are relatively easy to avoid

The Academy at Shawnee is a great place for students to earn industry certification. They have an amazing aviation program which allows you to earn a pilot's license. The nation's only high school where a student can earn a FAR, Part 141 Private Pilot's license as part of their regular classes. My son is enrolled in the aviation magnet, and also ROTC and loves it. This school is amazing. I went here my freshman year and I loved it. What people don't understand is every school has problems and honestly I didn't have any problems at Shawnee. I wish I could go back but I moved to another state :(
