This school is wild in many ways. I'll admit, the chaos made the dull days of middle school a bit more interesting, but I'd be lying if I said this place didn't suck the soul out of me. Teachers here are either great and make class enjoyable and educational, or more often they will go out of their way to make life hell. The quality of the education is average at best. There are a lot of behavioral issues with the students, which never leaves a dull moment in class, but also hinders learning. This cannot be entirely blamed on the school, as most teachers do their best to keep the chaos to a minimum. The worst thing about LMS were the rules and how they were enforced. Dress code was unfair to girls and was only taken down a notch after a literal protest by students. Tech use is also very restricted, which makes work lots harder. I don't have enough room to fully depict it all. In the end, I have to thank those few good teachers for helping me survive this hell. Literal lifesavers.

The Teachers and the curriculum are very good at Lumberton Middle school. However, the administration made poor decisions on scheduling and how to deal with a student to student problem when I was attending.

There are good and bad eggs, just like everywhere. Overall, I think the teachers care. However, I've been very disappointed at the number of movies the kids watch on a daily basis. How is this teaching? It's more like babysitting. Showing more than one Disney film per year is just crazy and there is no wonder why these kids are behind in testing.

I'm a student here (7th grade) and I think this is an ideal school. There really aren't problems but going into remote learning was a bit tough. My child is in the 7th grade and has not had many negative experiences in this school. Except with one teacher's aid.
