My overall experience with Daniel Hand High School has been very enjoyable. There are a variety of classes to choose from so everyone will find the ones that are the best fit for them. There is a plethora of extracurriculars that the school provides like sports, teams and clubs. The environment is very welcoming and there are numerous outlets you can go to for help with anything, whether it is related to your education or not. DHHS is a school that prepares you very well for your future, whatever it may be.

I have very mixed opinions about this school. While I love it and the academics are amazing i feel that the culture of the school isn't great. Students only care about their grades and being the best in the class, people are extremely competitive here and try to bring you down. Our school also has barely any events and the ones they do have are ridiculously boring and badly planned. So while this is an amazing school for academics its not good socially.

I would like to see improvements in the quality of the food as well as the diversity in the school. Lots of people are racists and there is little to no inclusivity.

I feel very unsafe when in the presence of many school administrators. I wouldn’t wish the experience I’ve had here on my worst enemy. I feel constantly harassed by some teachers but more namely the school administrators, including the Vice principal. Every day I try to come in with a positive attit...

There are more kids on the High honor roll than kids who are not. So many kids go through the school days watching netflix and youtube on their phones. No one seems to care about bullying. Everyone cares about sports. Music program keep getting cut. Teachers are moved around and many are not even in...

I'm a student at Hand. The school is good and there are plenty of opportunities to push yourself both academically and athletically. However, teachers don't usually tend to the capacities of individual students and instead treat their student bodies as a whole.

Some math teachers can be subpar, but math is very difficult to teach. School is built well, classes are easy to get to, teachers are all-around incredibly smart, talented, and genuinely care for their students. Atmosphere is so friendly and accepting. Absolutely zero "senior bullying" or anything l...
