I was a student at Grove. In my time there I experienced more trauma than I ever had before. In the time since i left the school 2 of my friends from Grove have died due to mental health related issues. Another person I met through mutual friends died due to negligence from the school. I knew 5+ people who were able to run away and were caught by police on the highway. The school does not know how to handle the struggles of the students and due to this causes people to be retraumatized or to be put in new traumatic situations. Do not send your kids here. During my time there the staff was not properly trained for mental health interventions or for teaching. The staff is incredibly overworked leading to students slipping through the cracks. Some of the staff is racist leading to improper and disgusting conduct. If you have the money for the tuition use it to donate to the Mia Fontana Foundation and find somewhere better for your kid.

Grove School is a college preparatory therapeutic boarding school. When I arrived at Grove, I had gone years of suffering through school anxiety and depression. This all stemmed from when my father passed away when I was six years old. Grove School practically saved me. If I did not make the decision to transfer to Grove, I would not be going to college. The school has shaped me into a better person and a great leader. My experience with Grove has been very positive and I thank them for changing my life.

It's a decent School overall , and I like it. It's good because I have more freedom than most therapeutic schools, but the kids here can be toxic and get away with it, for no good reason. Great school. Maybe if your kid is self-conscious find another school if you need to

We have had a very good experience at the Grove school with our daughter. Her advisor and therapist are both excellent, despite being relatively young and new in their careers. Her advisor is especially dedicated and has helped her in practically every way since she started at Grove, including socia...

I also believe those 5 star reviews are BS. I have has a horrible experience with this school and suggest you stay clear from this place. You cannot expect to get help when a business is becoming so profitable on your money. The children do not get the individualized and trained attention needed. Ex...

What an awful and horrid experience we had at Grove. We have an educational advocate and a principal of a special education school in our town accompany us on the interview and tour. At this time we were all told that our student would be starting the Monday after Thanksgiving. I did not receive any...

The school has definatly helped but has too many unfair unnecessary restrictions. It gets very frustrating easily.
