It's a good school, very big and provides a lot of opportunities, but is lacking in a few certain areas like really get kids excited and involved in learning

There were a lot of great teachers and students, but the school was a bit hectic. A lot of construction was happening in the last year, which made navigating the already chaotic hallways even more difficult. There is a wide selection of classes, but some of the more niche ones can be difficult to get into. I would like to see the way they treat mental health and specifically 504 plans change. A lot of teachers didn't really respect 504 plans, and the process to get one has been reportedly very difficult.

Although West has some problems with diversity, students have been able to have a voice and participate in walkouts, protests and more. The teacher truly cares about their students and wants them to do well. West has a week called, "Fine Arts Week" that showcases the arts such as theater, music, visual arts and more. It shows how amazing the students at West are and we become able to show their talents.

My sister goes to West, and she tells me how much she loves it there. They have hour-long lunches (unlike Cherokee Heights MIddle School), and she tells me about how kind and likable all of the teachers are. Even the gym teacher is incredibly thoughtful and observes the students to see what activiti...

The staff at this high school did not always understand me well because of my autism, and elementary and middle schools in this high school’s attendance area were also useless for me because school administrators almost never grow up (although that is what they are supposed to persuade students to d...

Both my son and daughter attended this school. My daughter still is. The teachers are very accommodating and supportive to special needs and are doing their best to see my daughter thrives here despite her autism diagnosis. They communicate well (if maybe too much…lol). I am very satisfied with this...

Extremely terrible. I would gave given the school a 0 if that was an option. If you have children with special needs and you are a minority, stay away from this school!
